Overview
Seeing Deoxys - Attack Forme show up is always exciting. Not because it's useful; far from it. While it was once a niche DPS option that could put in some work, even its time in that twilight has long since ended. The real reason that Deoxys - Attack is so exciting to see is the fact that it's probably the single easiest solo among Tier 5 raids. If you have a decent roster of Ghost and/or Dark Types, then you can most likely jump into this raid and crush Deoxys - Attack for some items, XP, and Deoxys candy for Deoxys - Defense.
Team Building Approach
As a pure Psychic Type, Deoxys only has 3 weaknesses to exploit: Ghost, Dark, and Bug.
- Ghost is pretty much the top pick here for one main reason: Dawn Wings Necrozma. This thing has more than twice the DPS needed to take Deoxys - Attack down, and enough TDO to generally take about 25% of its HP without dodging. That aside, Ghost also has one of the top Mega Evolutions for this raid, and several other highly destructive options as well.
- Dark is the eternal rival to Ghost, and genuinely every bit as good, if not better. Shadow Tyranitar and Mega Tyranitar can't quite reach Dawn Wings Necrozma's DPS, but their DPS is still more than enough to solo it twice-over, and their TDO is outright absurd. If you have a few of the top Dark Types, then this thing is going to be a cake-walk.
- Bug... really can't hold a candle to Dark or Ghost, but it's... something?
