PvE Analysis

Shadow Sharpedo is one of the definitive glass cannons of Pokemon Go; its entire design is based around deal damage and drop fast. However, its damage really isn't impressive enough to be worthy of major consideration.

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

Waterfall + Hydro PumpBest
Bite + CrunchBest
  • Waterfall should be paired with Hydro Pump for taking on Ground, Fire, and Rock-type Pokemon. This is Shadow Sharpedo’s most useful moveset.

  • Bite should be paired with Crunch for countering Psychic and Ghost-type Pokemon.

  • Poison Fang has no use on an offensive Shadow Sharpedo.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

Waterfall + CrunchBest
  • Waterfall is clearly superior to Bite, having a significantly higher base damage.

  • Crunch is slightly better than Poison Fang on defense, having better damage and coverage at the expense of a later damage window.

  • Hydro Pump will pack a surprise, but with Shadow Sharpedo’s non-existent bulk it will never get the chance to fire.

PvP Analysis

Waterfall + Crunch and Poison FangBest

Waterfall’s relatively low energy gain mixed with Sharpedo’s incredibly low bulk means you’re not likely to be firing off Hydro Pump. As such, Crunch and Poison Fang are the two cheap charged moves of choice. Bite is potentially a usable option, but it's inferior most of the time.

Great League0 / 5

Shadow Sharpedo drops way too fast to be viable.

Master League0 / 5

Shadow Sharpedo drops way too fast to be viable. I feel like we may have a theme here...?
