Shouldn't Mega Gyarados be on the list of best water-type attackers, higher than Shadow Gyarados? Since its attack stat still bigger than Shadow Gyarados (292 vs 284), plus tankier defense raising its TDO

i understand now that the extra 20% attack granted to shadow pokemon also considers other factors and not just base stats, so i can see shadow gyarados having a higher DPS than mega gyarados. and i can see how the usefulness of shadow gyarados is more important since you can only have one mega pokemon in party at one time...and better to prioritize primal kyogre or mega swampert

Is there a guide to the PVP move stats? I don't really get it. I see statements like

"Shadow Claw has good damage with great energy gain. Dragon Breath can also be viable for its superior damage output, but results in less usage of Giratina's charge moves."

But if I look at the stats for Dragon Breath, it has these stats. Where is the superior damage output?

Cooldown (seconds) 0.5

Energy Delta 4

Compared to Shadow Claw which has double the power and energy, but is a 2 turn move, don't they have the same damage and energy per turn?

With the lastest updates, they deal the same damages and generates the same energy.

There are 2 differences:

1) different coverage (ghost type moves are generally better than dragon type moves)

2) shadow claw hits once for every 2 dragon breath, so d.breath could be better if tou have to finish off an opponent with very few HP.

BTW: Is this site still on? It's like one or two months that they are not updating it
