Mega Camerupt Raid Guide

General Information

Overview

This was Maxie's signature pokemon in Omega Ruby.... and that's the end of its notable roles in Pokemon as a whole.

It's easy to just say that this is a baby version of Primal Groudon, but that only goes so far because Mega Camerupt doesn't even have a full Ground Type moveset. That's right, it leans more into Fire, so it actually competes with Mega Blaziken and Mega Charizard Y instead.... and oh boy it doesn't do so very well!

So how about the raid here? Just douse it with water and you'll be fine. Heck, Primal Kyogre has more than enough DPS to solo it if it was a Tier 5, and a huge number of other Pokemon are more than capable of doing the job. Just dodge around some attacks, because just about every decent Water Type has solo-worthy DPS, and you're good to go. Raid a few, get the dex filler, and forget that this thing exists.

Counters

We're not going to bother with Supreme and Good counters this time. Just pick pretty much anything on this list, give it a good Water Type moveset, and you're set.
