PvE Analysis

What're you lookin' at? (probably how bad Scrafty is in PvE) Ya got a problem? (only if you invest in Scrafty) Ya better not even think of messin' with THIS bad man (very bad) Ya better freakin' think twice (because you're basically throwing your dust away) before Scrafty messes ya up proper! (seriously; it'll mess up your dust bank).

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

  • Snarl and Foul Play let Scrafty operate as a Dark attacker
  • Counter and Power-Up Punch make for Scrafty's Fighting Type moveset.... though it's not great.
  • Thunder Punch isn't great.
  • Acid Spray is worthless on offense.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

  • Counter and Snarl have similar performance on defense.
  • Power-Up Punch comes out quickly and frequently, making it a good defensive option.
  • Thunder Punch is the same story, and it also has the advantage of hitting would-be Flying Type counters for Super Effective damage.
  • Foul Play is stronger, but also slower.
  • Acid Spray is worthless on defense, too.

PvP Analysis

Counter is recommended for its superior damage output by a considerable margin, in addition to its wide coverage. Snarl generates energy more quickly, but lacks raw power.

Foul Play is the only significant damage-dealing charge move available, and benefits from STAB. Power-Up Punch is the cheapest charge move available energy-wise, and while it doesn't deal much damage, can be useful to boost ATK while possibly baiting shields. Acid Spray is an interesting utility charge move, but not as viable due to its somewhat expensive energy cost. Thunder Punch can offer coverage against some Water- and Flying-type Pokemon.

Great League

Scrafty sports a very unique Dark/Fighting typing, above average bulk, and an interesting moveset with strong potential. Dark sub-typing helps to mitigate weaknesses to Ghost and Psychic-types that resist Fighting-type Pokemon, which lets Scrafty stand out from other Fighting-types. Access to Power-Up Punch gives Scrafty a lot of potential to pressure shields when played properly, in addition to boosting its powerful fast move. However, Pokemon with access to Charm will annihilate Scrafty very easily, and Scrafty generally has negative matchups with other Fighting-type Pokemon.

Ultra League

The general theme of Ultra League suits Scrafty very well, as its typing and coverage is favorable against popular Steel-types and Giratina. Scrafty further benefits from the lack of Medicham in this league. The extra bulk granted by being a higher level allows it to accrue Power Up Punch boosts with ease. Note that Scrafty requires Candy XL investment to hit the Ultra League CP cap.

Master League

Scrafty doesn't have the stats for Master League, which is unfortunate giving its unique typing and coverage.
