Inteleon
PvE Analysis
Inteleon boasts the highest Attack stat among all non-Mega Water Type starters, sitting just behind Mega Blastoise This means that it has a lot of future potential, in particular after it's inevitably granted access to Hydro Cannon. But, for now, it's a little bit on the low end of damage. Still very much usable, but definitely behind its future potential.
Max Battles
Thanks to its comparatively incredible Attack stat, Dynamax Inteleon's damage output is so strong that its Max Geyser is still ~16% stronger than Gigantamax Blastoise's G-Max Cannonade. It also charges up the Max Meter quickly due to Water Gun's 0.5 second duration. However, Inteleon is incredibly fragile, so it should be paired with tanky Pokemon to absorb the boss's moves. Players looking to maximize Inteleon's contribution should make frequent use of switching in order to ensure that the boss's moves are caught on the tanks instead of it.
Inteleon may be powerful, but its Dynamax damage output has several competitions on the horizon. Gigantamax Drednaw, Gigantamax Kingler, and Gigantamax Rapid Strike Urshifu all possess stronger stronger Water-type Max Moves. Inteleon itself also has a Gigantamax form, which not only will outclass its current Dynamax form, but is even stronger that the aforementioned Gigantamaxes.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
- Water Gun and Surf is the best moveset that Inteleon can muster short of a future Hydro Cannon.
- Pound, Water Pulse, and Shadow Ball all fall behind.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Pound or Water Gun + Surf or Water Pulse or Shadow Ball | Best |
---|
- Honestly, all of Intelon's moves have defensive utility. Pound is a bit stronger, though Water Gun is comparable post-STAB.
- Surf and Water Pulse are pretty interchangeable. The former has a shorter animation, while the latter has more raw power.
- Shadow Ball has great neutral coverage and high damage output.
PvP Analysis
Water Gun + Surf & Shadow Ball |
---|
Water Gun outpaces Pound, Surf comes out quickly and has decent power, and Shadow Ball has high power and great neutral coverage for a relatively low cost. It's as simple as that.
