Most of Genesect's moves are pretty unimpressive, truth be told. Fury Cutter and Metal Claw are both good moves, but not so much when used by a raid boss. They pose little threat, though Metal Claw is a bit stronger.
Magnet Bomb has more power behind it than X-Scissor, and so it falls into the Intermediate section, but it's still not great. Finally, Hyper Beam hits hard, but it comes out infrequently and isn't hard to dodge.
Overview
Genesect doesn't pose a huge threat as a raid boss. It's HARD countered by Fire Types both defensively and offensively to the point where it's soloable without needing to SUPER-optimize.
Team Building Approach
Genesect - Shock Drive is weak to Fire.
- Fire is probably the best option here... because it's Genesect's only weakness and a double-weakness.

Supreme Counters
Given the best options on the Supreme Counters list, it's completely possible to solo Genesect, especially in Sunny weather. If not, then it's a pretty easy duo.

Mega Charizard Y is the best option here; it has the raw DPS to solo Genesect, and the TDO needed to take about 1/3 of its HP on average, substantially more with some dodging.
The other options are all great, though the solo-worthy DPS generally ends at Shadow Darmanitan. That said, everything up here can absolutely obliterate Genesect in a duo with little to no effort.
