PvP Analysis

Snarl or Fire Fang or Double Kick + Darkest Lariat and Blaze Kick or Blast Burn

Snarl features fast energy generation and lets Incineroar access its Charge Moves sooner, but deals poor damage output. It is generally the preferred option however, enabling Incineroar to reach its powerful Charged Attacks. Double Kick performs very similarly, offering Fighting-type damage instead. Fire Fang is the exact opposite, with a large emphasis on strong damage output at the cost of slower energy gains.

Incineroar generally has 4 Charged Moves worth considering. Blast Burn has great damage output and relatively low energy cost, making it a staple in most cases. Darkest Lariat has high power and great neutral coverage, making it a very attractive option. However, its high energy cost can be a genuine burden, meaning it's generally best to pair up with Snarl or Double Kick over Fire Fang, and potentially with a lower energy cost Charged Move as well. Speaking of; Blaze Kick has decent damage output, but it shines due to its low energy cost, allowing Incineroar to throw out quicker Charged Moves and bait out shields. Finally, Dark Pulse is another decent Dark Type move that trades off some power for a lower Energy cost, making it worth considering in select situations.

Great League / 5

Incineroar is almost identical to Houndoom, with the same Dark/Fire typing, offensively-orientated stats, and similar movesets. To be fair, Incineroar is at least somewhat bulkier and can delete enemies with Blast Burn and Darkest Lariat. Unfortunately its performance against the meta isn't very spectacular.

Ultra League / 5

Incineroar can perform in both open and limited formats due to its favorable typing against Giratina and common Steel-types, among other Pokemon. The increased bulk in the Ultra League allows Incineroar to reach its devastating Charged Attacks more consistently. However, it might not be as consistent as other meta picks.

Master League / 5

In the main series, and specifically in Double Battles, Incineroar is best known as the ultimate support Pokemon, owing to the absolutely insane synergy between Intimidate, Fake Out, and its pivoting moves U-turn or Parting Shot. Its stats are tailored to take on this role well, and it can deal considerable damage even for a support Pokemon. Even in the face of the most powerful Legendary Pokemon in the game, Incineroar remains unrivaled at its role.

...Sadly, none of this matters with how Pokemon GO's combat system is set up. It's all single battles and utility is minimal. And thus, Incineroar's strongest traits are tossed to the wayside. It fares better in Master Premier, but its stats are still not great there, and it has some very abusable weaknesses.
