Strategies and Counters for Taking Down Grass Type Team GO Rocket Grunts

Grass Type Grunt - "Don't tangle with us"
Admittedly this isn't the most exciting grunt to face, but can make for an easy mysterious component.

Encounter Overview
Shadow SnivyShadow Serperior is inferior to its non-shadow counterpart in the Great League. It doesn't have that stats to be relevant for PvE, even with a shadow boost.
Shadow SnoverShadow Abomasnow is genuinly great in the Great League and also has play in the Ultra League. Don't transfer one if you happened to get one with PvP IVs, as well as a high IV spread as it can function as both an Ice and Grass-type raid attacker for newer players.
Shadow HoppipIt's once again a PvP oriented Pokemon that is a must have for anyone serious about the PvP scene. It does come with a little catch in that it needs an Elite Charged TM or an event to get it's exclusive move Acrobatics.
Supreme Counters
 
Shadow HeatranHeatran
 
Look no further than Heatran when you're wanting to take on this grunt. Fire Spin is great for energy generation while also dealing considerable damage, paired with Magma Storm* for a very spammy moveset that leaves the any pokemon permanently stunned.
 
Shadow Chandelure
 
Behold, the wielder of fantastic Fire DPS. Slap Fire Spin on it paired with Flame Charge for a genuinly fantastic counter.
 
Shadow Blaziken
 
It's genuinly great here with Fire Spin, and unlike Heatran, it's more accessible. Though admittedly it does need an Elite TM for Blast Burn* if you don't have one.
 
Shadow Staraptor
 
Do you want to have a breeze of a battle? Look no further than Shadow Staraptor! It has a great moveset with either Wing Attack or Gust* and Fly.
 
Reshiram
 
Reshiram is fun because it can get away with just spamming Fire Fang. Preferably it would have Fusion Flare*, but it's not necessary.
Good Counters
 
Glaceon
 
Being easily accessible and having a decent moveset in Ice Shard and Icy Wind, Glaceon is a good Pokemon to bring in your backline.

DPS? Check
Ice Shard and Avalanche? Check
Other Good Counters
In conjunction with the above counters, several other Pokemon do a great job here, including a number of generally great Pokemon in the Master League. Feel free to mix-and-match a bit, as any of these and beyond can do a great job as well!
