Overview
Mega Salamence is a Dragon with a great moveset and a STELLAR 310 Attack stat... so why is it so bad?
This Pokemon is a PRIME example of just how competitive the Dragon Type is. There are a ton of types that would ABSOLUTELY KILL to have something this insanely strong, yet here we have Mega Salamence, the bronze medal of Dragon Type Mega Evolutions. Not Dragon Types as a whole, just the Mega Evolutions! Don't be fooled by the bravado of this monster, pick it up as a dex-filler and then raise Mega Rayquaza when it comes back, or even
Mega Garchomp. It's not bad, but it's just not good enough.
So what can be expected from this raid? Well, Mega Salamence hits like a truck with Dragon Tail or Fire Fang, the latter in particular posing a massive threat to many of its top Ice Type counters. Meanwhile, its Charged Moves don't pose a HUGE threat due to how slow they are, though they're all likely to score KOs if they land. The variables here are Hydro Pump, which is pretty hard to dodge, and Fly, which comes out more frequently.
Best Counters
Difficulty: Mega Salamence is easily solo-worthy at lv.40 with the Pokemon on this list, but consider aiming for a bit of TDO over DPS to help stay in the game.
