Bite doesn't pose much of a threat. It's got great neutral coverage, but it's not very threatening. Sludge Wave isn't particularly note-worthy and is resisted by Rock Type counters, though it can still be dangerous if not dodged.

Thunder Bolt and Thunder hit particularly hard post-STAB, and both are threatening in their own right. Focus Blast can potentially hit like a truck, and has fantastic counter-coverage against both Ice and Rock Types, but it comes out infrequently and isn't hard to dodge.

Volt Switch hits really hard, especially coming off of Thundurus Therian's huge Attack stat and STAB. It seriously poses a threat if your counters don't resist it.

Overview

Thundurus Therian is known for one thing; hitting like a truck. With nearly 300 Attack, this thing will absolutely fry a lot of its would-be counters, but its defenses are a bit lacking. For this reason, it's actually not as big of a threat as it seems to be.

Team Building Approach

• Thundurus (Therian Forme) is weak to Ice and Rock.
• Ice is great, ESPECIALLY if you have White Kyurem, but on the whole it tends to fall behind the big-name Rock Types.
• Rock may not have the absolute strongest counter, but it does have higher overall performance.

With the right counters, Thundurus - Therian Forme is a pretty comfortable duo. Just be aware of the damage that it can do and be ready to dodge, and it shouldn't be terrible.

If you've got White Kyurem, then you've got this one made. If not, the other options on the list have the potential to still make this relatively easy.
