Winter is here, bringing with it mostly PvP related encounters to bolster your GO battle league arsenal. Of course there's also Shadow Sneasel, who had great Ice type DPS for raids. This grunt truly has something for everyone!

Supreme Counters
With the deadly combination of Counter/Force Palm* and Power-Up-Punch at its disposal, Lucario can stun lock a grunt. A second charge move on a Lucario can be pricey (if you didn't unlock it before evolving), but comes highly recommended for Shadow Ball to deal with Froslass and general coverage.
Turning those pesky Ice types into a puddle has never been easier with Heatran. Having access to Fire Spin and Magma Storm* will make quick work of a grunt without taking too many hits in return.
Bullet Punch and Meteor Mash are what Metagross does best and that remains true here.
Good Counters
Slap Metal Claw and Iron Head on it and you have yourselves a proper addition to your team. It would be higher on this list if it wasn't for the threat of water type moves some of the grunts' Pokemon carry.
While it has a great Attack stat that, combined with Smack Down, can deal great damage, it does suffer from the Steel and Water type fast moves some of the grunts' Pokemon have access to.
Other Good Counters
In conjunction with the above counters, several other Pokemon do a great job here, including a number of generally great Pokemon in the Master League. Feel free to mix-and-match a bit, as any of these and beyond can do a great job as well!
