For the Easy moves we have Flash Cannon, which has good damage, but doesn't come out often. Next up is Blaze Kick, providing little useful coverage. Thunder Punch is in a similar boat as Blaze Kick.
For the Intermediate there's Power-Up Punch. This move, although having low power, comes out very frequently and can chip away your Pokemon very fast. Both the fast moves Counter and Bullet Punch have alright power post STAB, but it's managable.
Shadow Ball and Aura Sphere have the same damage and come out often. Aura Sphere hits slightly harder, but both moves should be respected. Finally, there's Close Combat that acts like a delete buttom.
Overview
Mega Lucario is the best Fighting Type out there, and it's a fantastic Type at that. This thing should be a high priority for any trainer out there. It's that simple.
While Lucario can hit hard, it remains to be a comfortable duo. It has a wide movepool that has some serious curveballs that any trainer should be aware of when building a team.
Team Building Approach
Mega Lucario is weak to Ground, Fire and Fighting.
- Fire is your overall best bet. It performs consistenly against any moveset Lucario has.
- Fighting has great options too, but is secondary to Fire in general.
- Ground is more of a filler type here, just because the compition here is so high.
