Overview
It seemed like we'd never actually see Lunala available outside of evolving Cosmog to this, one of its two final forms. But we were wrong, as it's finally time to raid for the Beast that Calls the Moon!
Lunala can potentially hit hard, but it is not a hard raid for those with the right team. In fact, this is a relatively reasonable Tier 5 solo for the top counters, especially in foggy weather (but let's be honest; fog is a myth). Its semi-low defense and double weaknesses to Ghost and Dark alike means that it takes a ton of damage from some very big names, and can potentially be walled out pretty effectively depending on the counter/moveset combination. However, a solo will be very tight in most cases due to the fact that Lunala does hit pretty hard, so TDO can definitely be an issue. For that reason, a pseudo-solo alongside a Best Friend account is far more reasonable, and/or the use of Behemoth Blade's Adventure Effect, courtesy of Zacian - Crowned Sword.
If you're aiming for a duo, then... seriously, don't worry about it. If you and a friend have even decent counters and are adequate at the game, then Lunala should drop pretty easily.
Best Counters
Difficulty: In this case, Supreme Counters will deal strictly with Pokemon that can theoretically be used to reasonably solo Lunala.
The Pokemon below this point are just a bit below the 50 DPS needed to be solo-worthy, but their high TDO makes them potentially valuable for a solo attempt when paired with the DPS juggernauts above.
