Fashion Week Returns
We couldn't make it 2 weeks into the new year without Niantic introducing new costumes. If you like collecting costumed Pokemon you'll be having a great time , and with a nice bonus of 2x Stardust for catching Pokemon it's a pretty decent event to grind. Though admittedly, costumes aside, the encounters are a bit lackluster.

Meta Relevance
Dragonite has always been a great Pokemon. While it's no longer at the absolute top as a Dragon type attacker for raids, it still manages to hold its own dealing respectable damage. On the PvP side, Dragonite proves itself to be an absolute menace in the Master League. It's definitly worth going after if you don't have one already.
Gardevoir has some meta relevancy as one of the better (not top) Fairy Types, but Mega Gardevoir is DEFINITELY relevant. So picking up a good Kirlia could help if you're interested in shoring up your Fairy team, or just want to farm some candy.
