PvE Analysis
We don't have a lot of good Bugs, and Wormadam... definitely doesn't change that fact in the slightest.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Bug Bite + Bug Buzz | Best |
---|
- Bug Bite and Bug Buzz is the only moveset worth considering.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Confusion + Bug Buzz or Energy Ball | Best |
---|
- Confusion is one of the best defensive Fast Moves, and it pairs well with Bug Buzz or Energy Ball
- Psybeam is the weakest option.
PvP Analysis
Confusion + Energy Ball and Bug Buzz |
---|
Confusion is generally preferred over Bug Bite for additional coverage, but Bug Bite is nonetheless serviceable for reliable Bug-type damage.
Wormadam-Plant lacks cheap Charged Attacks. Energy Ball is its cheapest, but it's already a moderately expensive move. Bug Buzz is the next cheapest option and it's pretty expensive. Psybeam is horrendous.
Great League | 1 / 5 | |
---|---|---|
Wormadam-Plant is a relatively tanky Pokemon, but Bug/Grass is just awful defensively due to its numerous weaknesses. Its attacks are also very sluggish; many enemies can take advantage of Wormadam-Plant's downtime in between Charged Attacks. As such, Wormadam-Plant is a nonviable option in the Great League. However, its alternate form, Wormadam-Trash, actually sees niche use in certain cups. | ||
