Dustox
PvE Analysis
We have a lot of moths in this game, and Dustox is... one of them. Yeah, don't waste your Stardust.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Bug Bite + Bug Buzz | Best |
---|
- Bug Bite and Bug Buzz; ignore every other moveset on offense.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Confusion + Silver Wind or Sludge Bomb | Best |
---|
- Confusion is one of the best Fast Moves in the game on defense. Bug Bite rivals it post-STAB, but has somewhat lackluster synergy with the best Charged Move options.
- Pair Confusion with Silver Wind or maybe Sludge Bomb.
- Pair Bug Bite with Sludge Bomb.
PvP Analysis
Confusion + Sludge Bomb and Bug Buzz | Best |
---|
Confusion is superior to Struggle Bug even if the latter benefits from STAB.
Silver Wind costs the least amount of energy and gets STAB, however after its nerf from the April 2020 rebalance, it's no longer recommended due to poor damage output. Sludge Bomb provides solid STAB damage, and costs only 5 energy more. Bug Buzz is recommended for its strong Bug-type damage, and also gets STAB.
Great League | 2.5 / 5 |
---|---|
Dustox is an anti-meta pick for Great League, featuring decent bulk from a defensive stat spread, a Bug/Poison typing that supports a niche against certain Pokemon, and a solid moveset for its role. With a max CP of 1384 at Level 50 Dustox actually falls short of the CP cap in Great League, which is rather unfortunate as it would perform even better if it could have more stats. Dustox's main use as an anti-meta pick is actually quite good against popular Pokemon such as Medicham, Haunter, and various Grass-types, but access to Sludge Bomb gives it some punch against the almost ubiquitous Azumarill. Unfortunately, losses against a majority of other Pokemon make Dustox a rather risky choice, but still one worthy of consideration. | |
Ultra League | 0 / 5 |
If Dustox couldn't even reach the CP cap for Great League, then it definitely won't see any action in Ultra League. | |
Master League | 0 / 5 |
This moth won't bug anyone in Master League. |
