PvE Analysis

...you honestly want to see how Dunsparce does in PvE? Seriously? Okay, let's get this over with, I guess...

Dunsparce is a meme of a Pokemon that has no redeeming qualities as a PvE Pokemon. It's a funny little guy who exists, and... that's literally it. his poor thing isn't really even viable in Tier 1 raids, and It's even's not even a speed-bump on Defense.

Please don't invest in Dunsparce... please...

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

  • Rollout is the strongest Fast Move that Dunsparce can muster, and it pairs best with Rock Slide.
  • If you're desperate for Ground Type damage output, then Drill Run is your best option... using the term best extremely liberally here.
  • Bite can at least somewhat work if you want neutral damage to pair with Drill Run....? Maybe?
  • Dig and Astonish aren't worth using... and that's really saying something.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

RolloutRollout + DigDigBest
  • Rollout is, again, the best Fast Move Option. Astonish is the second pick due to its higher base power, and Bite is... okay.
  • Dig comes out on top this time due to its superior defensive stats.
  • Rock Slide is okay too.
  • On defense, Drill Run is inferior to Dig.

PvP Analysis

The buff of Rollout from the September 2024 update gives Dunsparce an incredible Fast Move for PvP, with high energy gains and synergy with its Charge Moves. Astonish is a fantastic move that can be used as an alternative option to better spread out Dunsparce's coverage. Bite focuses on Dark-type damage and lacks energy generation and synergy.

Rock Slide and Drill Run are very good Charge Moves that cost moderate amounts of energy and offers good damage. Combined, they provide perfect coverage, allowing Dunsparce to hit every Pokemon in the game for at least neutral damage. Dig is a terrible move.

Great League 5 / 5

Dunsparce is a premier generalist in the Great League, sporting great bulk, wide coverage, solid attacks, and only one weakness. As a result, it is rather easy to slot into most teams, requiring only a partner Pokemon that can cover for its sole Fighting weakness.

Ultra League0 / 5

Dunsparce can’t really compete in Ultra League. Best to wait till Dudunsparce's release.

Master League0 / 5

Dunsparce fails to be able to beat any relevant Pokémon in Master League. Please don’t use it here.
