PvE Analysis

Ooooh, a Normal type with less than 200 attack! I'm sure THIS will make big waves in PvE! ....those waves being due to just how hard the raid boss slams poor Dudunsparce into the ground. Either way, good luck getting a 3-segment!

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

  • Rollout is the strongest Fast Move that Dunsparce can muster, and it pairs best with Rock Slide.
  • If you're desperate for Ground Type damage output, then Drill Run is your best option... using the term best extremely liberally here.
  • Bite can at least somewhat work if you want neutral damage to pair with Drill Run....? Maybe?
  • Dig and Astonish aren't worth using... and that's really saying something.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

Rollout + DigBest
  • Rollout is, again, the best Fast Move Option. Astonish is the second pick due to its higher base power, and Bite is... okay.
  • Dig comes out on top this time due to its superior defensive stats.
  • Rock Slide is okay too.
  • On defense, Drill Run is inferior to Dig.

PvP Analysis

Rollout is an incredible Fast Move for PvP, with high energy gains and synergy with its Charge Moves. Astonish is a fantastic move that can be used as an alternative option to better spread out Dunsparce's coverage. Bite focuses on Dark-type damage and lacks energy generation and synergy.

Rock Slide and Drill Run are very good Charge Moves that cost moderate amounts of energy and offers good damage. Combined, they provide perfect coverage, allowing Dunsparce... or rather Dudunsparce to hit every Pokemon in the game for at least neutral damage. Dig is a terrible move.

....why do these write-ups feel so familiar?

Great League
Dudunsparce is... basically Dunsparce, but more attack-weighted. This gives it a lower stat total in the Great Legaue, and makes it a worse option in general. You COULD run it alongside your Dunsparce if you want to try for double-jeopardy on teams that may only have one Dunsparce answer, but it's more likely to leave you just a bit better off than just running 2 Pokemon. Sadly, you're better off not evolving your Dunsparce. That said, keep in mind that Dudunsparce has a Normal Type Signature Move by the name of Hyper Drill in the main series, and it sure as heck isn't going to make waves in PvE unless someone in charge of making moves has a stroke while typing out stats, so we may see Dudunsparce coming up with more utility in the future.... though Dunsparce can also learn it.
Ultra League
Despite being bigger than Dunsparce, Dudunsparce is still pretty easily crushed in the Ultra League in most cases.
Master League
Hi there Mr. lumpy snake, meet Mr. Hungry Dragon! ....wait, where did Dudunsparce go?
