Ceruledge

PvE Analysis
Ceruledge is a genuinely great Pokemon when it comes to design. Just look at this thing; it's really great! However, it's also fighting in two of the strongest metas in the game, leaving it very, very outmatched.
Ceruledge has a Fire Type Signature Move in the main series that goes by the name of Bitter Blade, so it may yet have a future!
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
| Incinerate + Flamethrower | Best |
|---|
- Incinerate and Flamethrower is the best moveset that Ceruledge can muster.
- Shadow Ball is a great move, but the distinct lack of a Ghost Type Fast Move makes it fall behind in practice.
- That said, Incinerate+Shadow Ball is Ceruledge's best moveset if the target is weak to Fire and Ghost alike.
- Ember, Heat Wave, and Flame Charge are all not worth considering.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
| Incinerate + Shadow Ball | Best |
|---|
- Incinerate is outstanding on defense, making it the best move for Ceruledge to utilize once again.Â
- Shadow Ball is fairly easy to dodge, but it has great power and coverage, making it the best move of choice.
- Flame Charge is a 3-bar move, but it matches types with Incinerate and is very easy to dodge.
- Flamethrower is only 2-bars, but it is much harder to dodge... though it still leaves Ceruledge easy to wall out.
- Ember and Heat Wave are objectively inferior.Â
PvP Analysis
| Incinerate + Flame Charge & Shadow Ball |
|---|
Incinerate is a strong Fast Move with high energy generation and damage output alike, making it the Fast Move of choice, even if it is slow. Flame Charge and Shadow Ball both have relatively low energy cost, allowing Ceruledge to attack consistently.
| Great League | 0 / 5 |
|---|---|
Ceruledge has low bulk in the Great League, and very little counter-coverage. It's not going to do much in most cases. | |
| Ultra League | 0 / 5 |
Largely the same story here. | |
| Master League | 0 / 5 |
