Overview
Virizion has a relatively good Defense stat that  should make at least somewhat difficult... except for the fact that it's double-weak to flying of all types. Yes, Mega Rayquaza will absolutely crush Virizion, to the point where it can potentially even run a solo with a bit of luck and careful play. Beyond that, there is a huge pool of Pokemon that can EASILY run this duo.
Best Counters
Difficulty: Virizion can be comfortably taken down by 2 trainers using any combination of the Supreme Counters. A solo is possible with Mega Rayquaza at level 50 and weather boost. It's also worth noting that the duo-worthy Pokemon are going to spill into Good Counters, as the list is pretty vast.
 Mega Rayquaza still rules the Flying meta with an iron grip, and as stated this thing can outright solo Virizion with the proper situation at its disposal. It also has a great set of resistances for this raid, only fearing Stone Edge. Not only is this THE top-DPS option, it's also among the best average TDO options as well.
 Air Slash + Dragon Ascent
 Shadow Salamence may not have a Flying Type Fast Move, but Fire Fang is still Super Effective, and the war power of this monster is still more than enough to warrant a team slot, especially since it has many of the advantages that we've already highlighted for Rayquaza and its Mega forme.
Fire Fang + Fly
 Shadow Lugia may look like an odd option here, but this thing is well above duo-worthy DPS while also sporting absolutely titanic TDO that allows it to stay in the battle for a VERY long time. It's worth noting that Aeroblast+ is the ABSOLUTE IDEAL here, but those without Apex Shadow Lugia can still easily score duo-worthy DPS with basic Aeroblast, or even Fly.
Extrasensory + Aeroblast+
 Yveltal may seem like a lesser option when compared to Shadow Honchkrow on the surface due to its lower DPS, but it's still very much within duo-range and it also has substantially higher TDO.
Gust + Oblivion Wing
 Mega Rayquaza is by far the stronger option for this raid, but Mega Pidgeot can work if you don't have the king, or just don't want to drop the Mega Energy.
Gust + Brave Bird
 While not as powerful as its Mega forme, a high Attack Stat combined with the absolutely stellar Dragon Ascent puts in A LOT of work.
 Air Slash + Dragon Ascent
 The Shadow forme of a classic, Shadow Moltres hits like a truck and has a great set of resistances here.... just don't get hit by Stone Edge!
Wing Attack + Sky Attack
 While easier to break than most of the competition, Shadow Honchkrow has higher average performance than Shadow Staraptor due in part to its double resistance to Zen headbutt.
 Peck + Sky Attack
 While Enamorus is definitely a living branch from the ugly tree, it has access to a great Flying Type Charged Move, a solid and Super Effective Fast Move, and a great typing for this raid that gives it great TDO alongside DPS that's still very duo-worthy.
Fairy Wind + Fly
 Much like Shadow Lugia, basic Lugia lasts a long time and has duo-worthy DPS as well. However, it's A BIT more reliant on Aeroblast++ than Shadow Lugia with its own + variant of Aeroblast. Still, basic Aeroblast and Fly are just barely good enough to allow it to break the average 25 DPS needed for a duo.
