Shadow Sudowoodo
PvE Analysis
Shadow Sudowoodo is better than base forme, but still not good. It's not worth your stardust investment.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Rock Throw + Meteor Beam | Best |

Rock Throw is generally superior to Counter for the Rock-type coverage and STAB.
Meteor Beam is the best Rock-type Charged Attack choice due to its incredible parameters, outclassing Rock Slide, Stone Edge, and Rock Tomb.
- Earthquake and Trailblaze are sub-par.

PvP Analysis

Counter + Rock Slide and Meteor Beam or Earthquake |
Virtually any Pokemon blessed with Counter will have it at the top of their PVP moveset list. It has fantastic coverage when combined with Sudowoodo's Charged Attacks
Rock Slide provides Sudowoodo with a great STAB move that has high power for a reasonable amount of energy. Stone Edge deals more damage, but its greater energy cost is discouraging. Meteor Beam may seem redundant, but it has incredible power and increases Sudowoodo's Attack. Earthquake provides good coverage next to Rock Slide while being an objectively strong move despite its higher energy cost. The addition of Rock Tomb following the GBL Season 10 update is unimpressive, as its poor damage output and high energy cost discourages its use despite its new debuff utility.Â
Great League | 2 / 5 | |
---|---|---|
Sudowoodo has access to some great moves and a decent stat-spread, which means it can definitely operate in the Great League. Rock-type coverage is always in demand, and Sudowoodo can deliver it along with also-coveted Ground type coverage, and the stellar Counter as its quick move. However, other Pokemon in the tier such as Bastiodon and Carbink surpass it in terms of general utility. That said, Sudowoodo's pure rock typing leaves it without a double-weakness to Ground and Fighting, which can make it a better fit for some teams. | ||
Ultra League | 2 / 5 | |
Getting closer to 2500 with the advent of Level 50 has helped Sudowoodo somewhat, and yet it still has issues. | ||

Absolutely not. |
