Best PvE Offensive Moveset

• Rock Throw is generally superior to Counter for the Rock-type coverage and STAB.

• Meteor Beam is the best Rock-type Charged Attack choice due to its incredible parameters, outclassing Rock Slide, Stone Edge, and Rock Tomb.

• Earthquake and Trailblaze are sub-par.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

• Counter is preferred to Rock Throw on defense for superior type coverage and general power.

• Rock Slide is preferred to Stone Edge and Meteor Beam for the quicker charge time.

• Trailblaze is another great option for defense.

• Rock Tomb is slower and weaker.

Counter has fantastic coverage when combined with Sudowoodo's Charged Attacks, making it a more appealing option than Rock Throw.

Rock Slide provides Sudowoodo with a great STAB move that has decent power for a reasonable amount of energy. Stone Edge deals more damage, but its greater energy cost is discouraging. Meteor Beam may seem redundant, but it has incredible power and increases Sudowoodo's Attack. Earthquake provides good coverage next to Rock Slide while being an objectively strong move despite its higher energy cost. The addition of Rock Tomb following the GBL Season 10 update is unimpressive, as its poor damage output and high energy cost discourages its use despite its new debuff utility.
