Shadow Magmar should be evolved into Shadow Magmortar... and even then it's not outstanding.

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

• Ember is superior to Karate Chop, complementing Magmar’s charge moves.

• Flamethrower is generally better than Fire Punch, having better DPS cycles.

• Fire Blast is by far Magmar’s worst charge move.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

• Karate Chop is similar to Ember when you consider Magmar’s usual foes.

• Magmar must have Scorching Sands or Fire Punch if it wants to threaten doing damage. Flamethrower is okay too, but it tends to fall behind.

• Fire Blast is by far Magmar’s worst charge move.

Wait, are you seriously considering using Shadow Magmar in PvP? Why?
