Regidrago

PvE Analysis
Regidrago is a surprisingly strong Dragon attacker despite its underwhelming attack stat. Dragon Energy is an incredibly powerful signature move. Furthermore, Regidrago's high HP / low Defense stat spread is great at converting damage taken into energy, rapidly charging up Dragon Energy despite the poor energy generation of Dragon Breath. With that said, the competition for Dragon-type damage is cutthroat. Regidrago's performance is comparable to that of Breaking Swipe Rayquaza - which is an impressive feat, but it does fall behind some Shadow Dragons, and doesn't synergize as well with Party Power when compared to the Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Best |
---|
- Regidrago's best performance requires two Elite moves: Dragon Breath and Dragon Energy. Don't bother with the other options.
- Breaking Swipe is an incredible Charged Attack, but Dragon Energy is just so much better,
- Outrage is okay, but not exactly ideal for Regidrago. Dragon Pulse is inferior, and Hyper Beam is virtually worthless.
PvP Analysis
Regidrago's best moveset utilizes pure Dragon-type damage. Dragon Breath is a far superior move to Bite, benefiting from STAB and having greater energy generation.
Breaking Swipe is Regidrago's cheapest Charged Attack and can apply an Attack debuff; this move will be Regieleki's bread and butter. Opponents who aren't threatened by Breaking Swipe's damage can instead be overwhelmed by Dragon Energy's immense damage - which can actually be fired off at a fairly cheap cost.
Outrage is a decent nuke, but Dragon Energy already covers that role at a much cheaper cost. Dragon Pulse is just underwhelming. Hyper Beam provides some coverage, but it is extremely expensive and is not worth running over Dragon Energy.
Great League | ||
---|---|---|
Regidrago's stats are surprisingly solid in the Great League - comparable to those of Goodra's. What Regidrago lacks in coverage it makes up with sheer damage, which can overwhelm just about anything that doesn't resist it. Even Steel-type Pokemon can struggle to cleanly defeat it. Unfortunately, Regidrago is completely helpless against Fairy-type Pokemon. | ||
Ultra League | ||
Much like in the Great League, Regidrago can overwhelm non-Fairies with raw damage. Even bulky Dragons such as Zygarde and Giratina can fall to this beast. Additionally, the increased general bulk of the Ultra League enables Regidrago to stack debuffs with Breaking Swipe more consistently, further enhancing its survivability. | ||
Master League | ||
The Master League is home to some of the strongest Dragon-type Pokemon in the game. Unfortunately, Regidrago's stats aren't high enough to compete with them. |
