Regidrago

PvE Analysis
Regidrago is a surprisingly strong Dragon attacker despite its underwhelming attack stat. Dragon Energy is an incredibly powerful signature move. Furthermore, Regidrago's high HP / low Defense stat spread is great at converting damage taken into energy, rapidly charging up Dragon Energy despite the poor energy generation of Dragon Breath. With that said, the competition for Dragon-type damage is cutthroat. Regidrago's performance is comparable to that of Breaking Swipe Rayquaza - which is an impressive feat, but it does fall behind some Shadow Dragons, and doesn't synergize as well with Party Power when compared to the Origin Formes of Dialga and Palkia.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Best |
---|
- Regidrago's best performance requires two Elite moves: Dragon Breath and Dragon Energy. Don't bother with the other options.
- Breaking Swipe is an incredible Charged Attack, but Dragon Energy is just so much better,
- Outrage is okay, but not exactly ideal for Regidrago. Dragon Pulse is inferior, and Hyper Beam is virtually worthless.
PvP Analysis
Dragon Breath is a far superior move to Bite, benefiting from STAB and having far greater energy generation.
Dragon Energy is the reason to use Regidrago. The combination of Dragon Breath's high energy gain with Dragon Energy's sheer power make short work of just about all but the sturdiest resists. Hyper Beam isn't an amazing move, but it can enable Regidrago to deal significant damage to Fairy-type Pokemon. Breaking Swipe is not ideal after its nerf on September 2025, costing more than Dragon Energy to use; the Attack debuff is not worth dealing much less damage. Outrage and Dragon Pulse are much worse than Dragon Energy.
Great League | ||
---|---|---|
Regidrago's stats are surprisingly solid in the Great League - comparable to those of Goodra's. What Regidrago lacks in coverage it makes up with sheer damage, which can overwhelm just about anything that doesn't resist it. Even Steel-type Pokemon can struggle to cleanly defeat it. Unfortunately, Regidrago has an incredibly tough time getting past Fairy-type Pokemon. | ||
Ultra League | ||
Much like in the Great League, Regidrago can overwhelm non-Fairies with raw damage. Even bulky Dragons such as Zygarde and Giratina can fall to this beast. | ||
Master League | ||
The Master League is home to some of the strongest Dragon-type Pokemon in the game. Unfortunately, Regidrago's stats aren't high enough to compete with them. |
