Pheromosa
PvE Analysis
Boasting a ridiculous Attack stat and a solid moveset, Pheromosa's DPS is unrivaled by many. It is especially adept at being a Bug attacker, where not even Mega Beedrill can hold a candle to its raw power. It's also a fairly strong Fighting attacker, although there is more competition in that role.
However, DPS isn't the end all be all metric to raid viability, and to say that Pheromosa is fragile is an understatement. Although not anywhere as glassy as Attack Forme Deoxys, Pheromosa will still easily fold to resisted hits and strong Fast Attacks. Its typing also doesn't leave it with much resistances, and is weak to the Psychic-type bosses that it wants to counter. Adept dodging is required to circumvent its awful bulk, which it thankfully has no issues with due to Bug Bite's short duration.
Basically, Pheromosa is strong, but use with extreme caution.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Bug Bite + Bug Buzz | Best |
---|---|
Low Kick + Focus Blast | Good |
- Bug Bite and Bug Buzz pair together to turn Pheromosa into a formidable Bug attacker
- Low Kick and Focus Blast pair together to turn Pheromosa into a decent Fighting Attacker
- Close Combat and Lunge are outclassed options
PvP Analysis
Bug Bite + Lunge and Close Combat |
---|
Bug Bite is Pheromosa's best Fast Attack, although it is average at best. Low Kick is terrible.
Lunge and Close Combat are Pheromosa's cheapest Charged Attacks and offer STAB. Focus Blast and Bug Buzz are too expensive, especially when considering Pheromosa's frailty.
Great League | 0 / 5 |
---|---|
It takes Skarmory 4 Air Slashes to KO Pheromosa. | |
Ultra League | 0 / 5 |
It takes Mandibuzz 5 Air Slashes to KO Pheromosa. | |
Master League | 0 / 5 |
Luckily for Pheromosa, there is no common Master League Pokemon that uses a Flying-type fast move! Instead, it faints to 4 Charms from Togekiss and Primarina. |
