Maushold

Behold, Maushold! One of the better known meme-mons from Generation 9/Paldea, this little mosnter comes to us in two different flavor; one with two kids, one with one kid. This is purely a visual difference, but it's still a fun little note. So how does Maushold hold up in Pokemon Go? About as well as a family of mice in a mouse trap factory...

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

• Mud Shot is Maushold's best Fast Move option in most cases due to its relatively high energy generation, though Bullet Seed is okay as well.
• Crunch and Play Rough are both okay, but using Maushold for Dark or Fairy damage output is... not even close to ideal. Honestly, even "passable" is strong. "Okay" doesn't really work either. "Bad" even feels like a strong description...
• Take Down and Swift have STAB.. but they're still trash.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

• Take Down has the highest average performance among Maushold's defensive Fast Moves thanks to STAB. However, Bullet Seed has higher energy gains and can deal Super Effective damage to Water, Rock, and Ground Types alike.
• Crunch is generally the Charged Move of choice due to the fact that it comes out frequently. However, it's also a bit risky due to the fact that Fighting Types resist it.
• Play Rough doesn't come out as often, but it generally hits harder and has counter-coverage against Fighting Types.
• Mud Shot is too weak to be generally worthwhile on defense, while Swift is weak, even with STAB.

Mud Shot is the Fast Move of choice due to its superior energy gains, while Crunch offers decent damage output and counter-coverage against Ghost Types. Finally, Swift... is cheap, at least.
