This Pokemon is too hot to handle, and it has a power that should interest you because it turns all of its opponents into ash! Oh, wait, this isn’t the anime? I guess that means Magmar doesn’t produce an “air lens” to help it resist Electric-type attacks. It’s worse than even Rapidash you say? Yikes. Let’s just go ahead and evolve this thing so that it can FINALLY achieve... mediocrity. 

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

• Ember is superior to Karate Chop, complementing Magmar’s charge moves.

• Flamethrower is generally better than Fire Punch, having better DPS cycles.

• Fire Blast and Scorching Sands are by far Magmar’s worst charge move.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

• Karate Chop is similar to Ember when you consider Magmar’s usual foes.

• Magmar must have Scorching Sands or Fire Punch if it wants to threaten doing damage.

• Fire Blast and Flamethrower are sub-par options.

Wait, are you seriously considering using Magmar in PvP? Why?
