PvE Analysis
Lycanroc is not a great Pokemon, and the Dusk variant doesn't do a good job of standing out from its other variants.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Rock Throw + Stone Edge | Best |
---|
- Rock Throw and Stone Edge is Lycanroc - Dusk's best moveset by far.
- Sucker Punch and Crunch can work, but they're only worth using if you have absolutely no other options. Even then, it's not worth raising Lycanrock - Dusk for it.
- Skip Counter, Iron Head, and Trailblaze entirely.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Rock Throw or Counter + Crunch | Best |
---|
- Rock Throw has the highest base power among Lycanroc - Dusk's Fast Moves due to STAB, while Counter offers counter-coverage and higher energy gains. Both are great options.
- Crunch has outstanding neutral coverage and comes out more frequently than any other options, making it the Defensive charged move of choice.
- Trailblaze has counter-coverage against Water and Ground Types, making it worth considering. However, it's also weaker than Crunch despite being about as hard to dodge and taking 2 bars of energy instead of 3, meaning it's inferior outside of counter-coverage.
- Iron Head falls behind. It's similar to Trailblaze, but with lower power and no real counter-coverage.
