PvE Analysis

Kleavor is a Pokemon with a great design, but is yet another victim to Niantic's moveset choices. Despite getting the ideal Rock move and a great Bug move on the Charged side, Kleavor's Fast Move options are terrible for it.

This Pokemon may have a future if it gets a good Bug Type fast move, and it also has a Signature Move by the name of Stone Axe that could help on the Rock side if it also gets a Rock Type Fast Move, but for the time being it's purely a dex filler.

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

Quick Attack or Air Slash + Rock SlideBest
  • Quick Attack is superior to Air Slash in a vacuum, but the fact that it can't deal Super Effective damage hurts its viability. Honestly, neither has great synergy with Kleavor's charged moves, so both are fine picks.
  • Rock Slide is the top Charged Move in terms of neutral power, though X-Scissor is also viable.
  • Stone Edge is generally the worst Charged Move option, while Trailblaze has no real synergy with Kleavor.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

Air Slash + X-Scissor, Rock Slide, or TrailblazeBest
  • Air Slash is Kleavor's strongest Fast Move option on defense, with superior stats and similar coverage to Quick Attack.
  • X-Scissor comes out faster and more often, but Rock Slide has great coverage and solid power. Either option is fine on defense.
  • Trailblaze is a bit weaker, but it offers counter-coverage.
  • Stone Edge is hard to dodge, but Kleavor probably won't get a chance to utilize it.
