PvE Analysis

Kecleon was the final unique Pokemon of Generation 3 to drop in Pokemon Go, taking six years to drop after its region first hit. So was it worth the wait?

Nope!

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

Lick + Foul PlayBest
  • If you're determined to utilize Kecleon on offense, then you're going to want to pair Lick with Foul Play to deal Super Effective damage to Ghosts while double-resisting their STAB moves. But don't do that regardless.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

Sucker Punch + Flamethrower, Ice Beam, Shadow Sneak, or Foul PlayBest
  • Sucker Punch is stronger Lick in most situations, though the fact that the latter hits Fighting Types for Super Effective damage makes it worth considering regardless.
  • Kecleon actually has a number of good Charged Moves on defense, with Aerial Ace in particular hitting Fighting Types hard and coming out a lot.
  • Flamethrower and Ice Beam are also great for their good general coverage and low energy cost.
  • Shadow Sneak and Foul Play are both good, but their similar-to-identical coverage profile to Kecleon's Fast Moves makes them sub-optimal picks most of the time.
  • Thunder hits hard and comes out fast, but Kecleon will probably be down before it can fire it off.

PvP Analysis

Sucker Punch + Aerial Ace & Foul Play

This combo of moves allows Kecleon to spam moves fairly frequently..... but that's not saying much.

Great League0 / 5
Kecleon is actually on every team in the Go Battle League, you just can't see it... ever.
Ultra League0 / 5
Kecleon really doesn't want to de-cloak in the Ultra League.
Master League0 / 5
Wanna really watch Kecleon disappear? Throw it into the Master League...
