PvE Analysis

Say hello to what's unequivocally the best Grass attacker to exist, and probably will be for a very long time. Kartana towers over every other Grass-type Pokemon - even Shadow ones, and effectively makes all of them suboptimal choices. With a raw DPS comparable to that of Mewtwo, Kartana can even function as a generalist in sunny weather. Outside of Mega Sceptile, nothing short of Shadow Rillaboom with Frenzy Plant can touch this monster's DPS. And Arceus knows how terrifying Kartana can be if it ever gets its hands on its Shadow form...

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

  • Razor Leaf + Leaf Blade combine to turn Kartana into a top tier Grass attacker.
  • Air Slash, X-Scissor, Night Slash, and Aerial Ace don't have much uses on Kartana despite its immense Attack stat.

PvP Analysis

Razor Leaf provides high Fast Move damage output to farm down opponents quickly, while Leaf Blade is a low-energy, high-damage Charged Move. Night Slash can also help out with coverage, and a chance at Attack buffs.

Great League
Kartana is designed after an origami folded figure, meaning it's supposed to be made from paper. Well, despite the fact that it can provide some SERIOUSLY deep paper cuts, Kartana really doesn't do anything that can't be done better by other Pokemon.
Ultra League
Kartana gets folded pretty hard in the Ultra League.
Master League
Kartana's paper doesn't generally do much against the top Pokemon of the Master League... but hey, at least it's good in Rocket battles.
