PvE Analysis
Electro-frog-Chansey is... definitely a thing. It's a sub-par option that doesn't really hold much value, making it an easy skip beyond a dex entry.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Best |
---|
- The only offensive moveset worth considering... and we use the word "considering" lightly here... is Thunder Shock and Discharge.
- Zap Cannon is competitive in terms of DPS, but its single-bar status means it's substantially less reliable.
- Water Gun and Parabolic Charge are definitely the inferior move options.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Best |
---|
- Sucker Punch and Water Gun are poor on defense, but they're at least off-type from Discharge.
- Thunder Shock is technically stronger post-STAB, but it makes Bellibolt incredibly easy to wall.
- Parabolic Charge and Zap Cannon fall behind.
PvP Analysis
Thunder Shock provides maximum Energy Generation, while Sucker Punch provides additional coverage and has strong damage and above average energy generation.
Parabolic Charge is what makes Bellibolt threatening, offering a guaranteed Defense boost on top of its decent damage and energy cost. Zap Cannon can nuke targets who try to capitalize on Bellibolt's tendency to spam the considerably less damaging Parabolic Charge. Discharge is underwhelming.
Great League | ||
---|---|---|
Bellibolt is a decent Great League threat thanks to its good bulk and spammy Parabolic Charge. However, its lack of coverage can make it especially vulnerable to Ground-type Pokemon. Dedenne is often the preferred Parabolic Charge user in the Great League thanks to the additional flexibility granted by its Fairy typing, despite being more fragile. | ||
Ultra League | ||
Like Dedenne in the Great League, Bellibolt makes a name for itself by spamming Parabolic Charge to make itself an immovable object. However, unlike Great League Dedenne, Ultra League is already bulky to begin with and repeated Parabolic Charges makes its bulk obscene. If you lack a Ground-type Pokemon, be prepared to get slowly grinded down by this Pokemon's progressively fortress-level defense. However, Bellibolt's poor coverage means it is often quite helpless in the face of common Ground-type Pokemon such as Zygarde and Gastrodon. | ||
