PvE Analysis
The Hisuian variant of Decidueye has a great design and a fun concept, but it's sadly not the best Pokemon. It currently lacks access to Frenzy Plant, and even with it it's only slightly better than its basic forme.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Magical Leaf + Trailblaze | Best |
---|
- Magical Leaf and Trailblaze is the best moveset that Hisuian Decidueye can manage
- Aura Sphere is a great move, but Hisuian Decidueye's lack of a Fighting Type Fast Move makes it a poor option on offense.
- Psycho Cut, Energy Ball, and Aerial Ace have little to no utility on offense.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Magical Leaf + Aerial Ace | Best |
---|
- Magical Leaf out-performs Psycho Cut, even when resisted.
- Aerial Ace is the top option for a defensive Charged Move.
- Aura Sphere would be a good option, but some of Hisuian Decidueye's counters are Flying, Fairy, Poison, and/or Psychic Types.
- Energy Ball and Trailblaze fall behind for a similar reason against Flying, Poison, and/or Fire Types.
PvP Analysis
Magical Leaf + Aerial Ace & Aura Sphere |
Great League | 0 / 5 | |
---|---|---|
Normal Decidueye out-classes its Hisuian counterpart. | ||
Ultra League | 0 / 5 | |
Not enough utility to be worthwhile. | ||
Master League | 0 / 5 | |
Decidueye is destined to go extinct after Hisui is gone, and playing it in the Master League just expedites that process. |
