PvE Analysis

Greedent functions as a potent tank and healer in Max Battles, leveraging its overall high HP and Defense and general lack of weaknesses to protect and support its teammates. Having access to Bite and Mud Shot, two moves with a 0.5s duration, allows Greedent to charge up the Max Meter quickly. Prioritize unlocking and leveling up Max Spirit - this move's healing scales off the user's HP, and Greedent's high HP stat ensures that it can heal its teammates for a huge amount.

Greedent will be outclassed by many Pokemon in the future due to its mediocre stats. However, it is a solid option at the start of the Dynamax metagame.

Best Dynamax Movesets

Bite + (Any)Offensive
Mud Shot + (Any)Offensive
Bullet Seed + TrailblazeOffensive
Mud Shot or Bite + (Any)Defensive
  • Bite for Max Darkness, Mud Shot for Max Quake, or Bullet Seed for Max Overgrowth.... though Bullet Seed is pretty slow.
  • Mud Shot or Bite are both great for building energy, so use one of them or maximum performance.

PvP Analysis

In terms of PvP performance, Dynamax Pokemon are virtually identical to their non-Dynamax counterparts.
