PvE Analysis
Like its fellow Galar starters, Cinderace's Attack stat is greater than that of its Kantonian counterpart, Charizard. Unlike Rillaboom and Inteleon, however, Cinderace's Attack stat isn't that much higher, so there is more competition between the two Fire-type starters. However, the competition closes when you consider Gigantamax Charizard. Gigantamax Charizard can utilize Dragon Breath to throw out Max Moves faster while keeping up Fire Type damage, but Cinderace is forced to utilize Fire Spin, which comes out at half the speed. This causes it to fall behind in practice.
In terms of Max Move damage, Cinderace's Max Flare is highly potent, but falls behind greatly compared to Gigantamax Charizard's G-Max Wildfire. In the long term, Cinderace will eventually be outclassed by its own Gigantamax Form. Dynamax Cinderace is fine if you need literal fire power right now, especially for players who cannot get their hands on a Gigantamax Charizard.
Best Dynamax Movesets

Defensive |
- Fire Spin doesn't have the best energy generation, but it's the only way to get Max Flare for Cinderace.
- Tackle is the better option on defense due to its higher energy generation.
PvP Analysis
In terms of PvP performance, Dynamax Pokemon are virtually identical to their non-Dynamax counterparts.
