Diancie
PvE Analysis
Regular Diancie isn't exactly useful for much; its low Attack stat makes it a pretty bad raid attacker in general. What it does offer, though, is a powerful Mega Evolution, so make sure you Mega Evolve your Diancie if you wish to leave an impact in raids with it.
It has an unreleased signature move called Diamond Storm, but its parameters would have to be incredibly absurd to make Diancie worth running as a Rock attacker in general.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Rock Throw + Rock Slide | Best |
---|
Rock Throw and Rock Slide is Diancie's optimal set.
- Power Gem is outclassed by Rock Slide
- Moonblast is a bad move in PvE and Diancie does not get a Fairy Fast Attack to even think about being a Fairy attacker
PvP Analysis
Rock Throw + Rock Slide and Moonblast | Best |
---|
Rock Throw provides significantly higher damage than Tackle, but comes at a slightly smaller energy gain.
Rock Slide is Diancie's cheapest Charged Attack and benefits from STAB. Moonblast also benefits from STAB and offers coverage against Fighting-type Pokemon; it is Diancie's strongest Charged Attack. Power Gem is outclassed by Rock Slide.
Great League | 2 / 5 |
---|---|
Diancie offers the same typing as Carbink, but suffers from a significantly smaller stat product due to its increased Attack stat. Thus, Diancie is largely outclassed by Carbink, | |
Ultra League | 0 / 5 |
Unlike Carbink, Diancie can reach 2500 CP, and thus has a bit more of a niche there. Its bulk is still rather average by Ultra League standards, and its typing is still rather situational at best. | |
Master League | 1.5 / 5 |
Because Diancie's main series stats are quite inefficient, they don't translate very well into Pokemon GO's stats. Combined with a rather mediocre typing and average moveset, Diancie isn't making waves here. Being part Fairy is awesome in a metagame filled with Dragon-type Pokemon, but other Fairies such as Zacian and Xerneas are much better at capitalizing advantages. |
