Cinccino
PvE Analysis
Minccino is cute, but that's about it. It lacks the moveset and stats to have any ghost of viability on offense, and while it's got a few good defensive options, its stats typing let it down hard.
When it comes right down to it, it's just a dex filler that takes a Unova stone to get. Think before you evolve!
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Nothing, Cinccino shouldn't be used on offense. | Best |
---|
- Pound and Hyper Beam are STAB and give Cinccino maximum neutral damage
- Charm is decently strong, but falls behind when not Super Effective
- Thunderbolt is stronger than Aqua Tail, but having 3-bars is a saving grace for the latter.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Charm + Aqua Tail or Thunderbolt | Best |
---|
- Charm has good damage output and counter-coverage. If you use Cinccino defensively, use this.
- Aqua Tail is the preferred charged move due to good neutral damage and 3-bars, though Thunderbolt is also good
- Hyper Beam is the worst option and should not be used on a defensive Minccino
PvP Analysis
Charm+Aqua Tail and Thunderbolt |
---|
Charm is a very polarizing move. It hits very hard and can mow down Pokemon quickly when it has an advantage. But when it's resisted, its low energy gains makes it hard to leverage effectively. On the bright side, it pairs fairly well with Aqua Tail thanks to its extremely low energy cost, and Thunderbolt is at least reasonable too.
Great League | 1 / 5 |
---|---|
Cinccino's only real use in PVP is as a charm-spammer, but its stats make it far too frail to be effective in this role, especially when other Pokemon can do the same thing far more effectively. Its coverage in its charged moves may give it a tiny niche here or there, but in general it's just outclassed. | |
Ultra League | 0 / 5 |
Ultra League is loaded with Pokemon that can farm Minccino down without a care in the world. Don't bother. | |
Master League | 0 / 5 |
Nope. |
