Corsola
PvE Analysis
Corsola is the regional Pokemon for areas closer to the the equator and also seemingly only spawns near coastal waters. Unfortunately it lacks both stats and strong movesets to be viable in the meta, which makes it a nice souvenir at best, and a dex filler at worst.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Bubble + Bubble Beam | Best |
---|
- Bubble is the only real fast move option available, since Tackle lacks STAB and can't be Super Effective.
- Power Gem outperforms Rock Blast on offense, but neither synergizes well with Corsola's fast moves.
- Bubble Beam pairs well with Corsola's fast move, but is stat-wise the worst charge move.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Bubble + Rock Blast | Best |
---|
- Bubble gets STAB and is significantly better than Tackle for defense.
- Bubble Beam and Rock Blast are similarly 3-bar moves with unimpressive STAB damage, and are moderately easy to dodge.
- Power Gem is slower for defense in both accessibility and speed, but deals more damage if it hits.

Bubble + Rock Blast and Bubble Beam
Bubble is a fairly strong fast move, and allows it to power out Corsola’s underwhelming charged moves pretty easily.
Bubble Beam is pretty bad for damage output, but guarantees a debuff to the opponent, and also ensures Corsola isn’t limited to only Rock-type charged moves. Rock Blast is slightly less efficient than Power Gem, but costs considerably less energy and can be used sooner.
Great League | 1 / 5 |
---|---|
Corsola’s stat distribution should make it really strong in Great League. However, its actual stats just don’t get the job done, and its moves make it pretty unimpressive. This is one regional you don’t need to go out of your way for. | |
Ultra League | 0 / 5 |
Corsola’s about as viable in Ultra League as inanimate coral. Don’t. | |
Master League | 0 / 5 |
Second verse, same as the first. Don’t use Corsola in Master. |
