PvE Analysis

This Pokemon is a dream-come-true to people who love making Poke-puns, and a blessing for early-mid game play. It's actually a very solid Flying attacker, with DPS similar to flying Rayquaza thanks to a good moveset. It's outclassed by other Pokemon down the road, but it can be useful for Grass or Fighting type raids in particular.

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

  • Air Slash should be paired with Sky Attack to make a Flying Type moveset.
  • Hyper Beam gets STAB, but that's literally the only good thing that can be said about it.
  • Steel Wing, Return, and Heat Wave have no value to Unfezant.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

  • Steel Wing is the Quick Move of choice, out-damaging Air Slash.
  • Sky Attack is Unfezant's only multi-bar move, and it's a good move at that.
  • Heat Wave can hit some counters hard, but it's unlikely to actually be used.
  • Return comes out fast and frequently, but it's painfully weak.
  • Hyper Beam is hands-down the worst move for Unfezant on defense.

PvP Analysis

Air Slash has a balanced energy/damage profile, making it the move of choice. Sky Attack is its charged move of choice, sporting low energy cost, high power, and a STAB boost. Heat Wave is expensive and not very powerful, but it's Unfezant's best option for hitting some of its counters.

Great League

Unfezant is little more than a vastly inferior Noctowl in the Great League, which itself is largely thought of as an inferior Skarmory. Skip Unfezant, as it doesn't have much to offer beyond Sky Attack.

Ultra League

You're going to have an Unfezant time in the Ultra League.

Master League

Nope.
