Pachirisu
PvE Analysis
The 2014 Pokemon World Champion is here! Unfortunately, Pokemon GO hasn’t given this behemoth its signature tools of destruction: Super Fang and Nuzzle. In fact, these moves aren’t even in the game yet! Until the meta-game ebbs in Pachirisu’s favor, all it can hope to be is the most adorable Pokedex entry.
Best PvE Offensive Moveset
Spark + Thunderbolt | Best |
---|
Spark is strictly better than Volt Switch on offense.
Thunderbolt is Pachirisu’s best move for its low energy cost and great damage. It only has 20 less power than Thunder, which costs double the energy.
- Thunder Punch doesn’t keep up with the other two in terms of damage.
Best PvE Defensive Moveset
Volt Switch + Thunderbolt | Best |
---|
- Volt Switch is significantly better than Spark and one of the greatest damaging moves on defense.
- Thunderbolt splits the middle between Thunder Punch’s low energy cost and Thunder’s damage.
- Thunder is hard to react to, but costs too much to get good use out of.
PvP Analysis
Volt Switch + Thunder Punch and Thunder or Thunderbolt |
---|
Volt Switch is superior to Spark in both damage AND energy generation.
Thunder Punch is Pachirisu's cheapest option. Either Thunder or Thunderbolt can work as its secondary burst option
Great League | 2 / 5 |
---|---|
Pachirisu is a reasonably tanky Electric-type choice in the Great League, but fails to see any play in an open format because it lacks any sort of coverage. It does, however, see occasional play in cups where Electric resists are not common. Keep in mind that getting Pachirisu for the Great League can be a daunting task. It is a regional Pokemon that requires a full XL investment and maximum IVs. Good luck! | |
Ultra League | 0 / 5 |
You wouldn’t send a squirrel out to fight a dragon. Or at least, in this game anyways. | |
Master League | 0 / 5 |
You wouldn’t send a squirrel out to fight, like, seven different dragons. |
