PvE Analysis

If any of the Galar starters got the short end of the stick, it's Cinderace. It's not the apex Starter of its type in terms of its Attack stat, and its current Charged Move options are very lackluster. And even when it eventually gets Blast Burn, it's still got a bit less Attack than Blaziken, meaning it's always going to have competition, unless Niantic gives it Pyro Ball as a Fast Move like Greninja with Water Shuriken.

Max Battles

Like its fellow Galar starters, Cinderace's Attack stat is greater than that of its Kantonian counterpart, Charizard. Unlike Rillaboom and Inteleon, however, Cinderace's Attack stat isn't that much higher so there is more competition between the two Fire-type starters. Though Charizard slightly falls behind in firepower, it can make that up due to its increased flexibility courtesy of its wider choices of Fast Attacks and its secondary Flying-typing.

In terms of Max Move damage, Cinderace's Max Flare is highly potent, but falls behind greatly compared to Gigantamax Charizard's G-Max Wildfire. In the long term, Cinderace will eventually be outclassed by its own Gigantamax Form. Dynamax Cinderace is fine if you need literal fire power right now, especially for players who cannot get their hands on a Gigantamax Charizard.

Best PvE Offensive Moveset

  • Go for Fire Spin and Flamethrower.
  • Tackle, Flame Charge, and Focus Blast aren't great. Tackle being a 0.5s move can be useful in tougher Max Battles to charge up the Max Meter more quickly than Fire Spin, but keep in mind that it will result in Max Strike instead of Max Flare.

Best PvE Defensive Moveset

  • Fire Spin out-paces Tackle, even if resisted.
  • Flame Charge comes out frequently, making it the move of choice.
  • Flamethrower and Focus Blast are inferior.

PvP Analysis

Yes, that is a mono-fire moveset. The only move not on the list that might be worth considering is Focus Blast, but its energy requirement is too high to be worth considering in most cases.

Great League0 / 5
A game of soccer this isn't, and a mono-Fire Type sporting a mediocre mono-Fire moveset is not going to make waves.
Ultra League0 / 5
Nope.
Master League0 / 5
Cinderace is self-preparing hasenpfeffer for the dragons of the league.
