Seriously what is with the movesets?
I'm pretty sure Heatran has Overheat, Giratina has Shadow Ball, Tangrowth has Grass Knot, Magmortar has Flamethrower and Honchkrow has Foul Play or Sky Attack, but for whatever reason the worst moves possible are presented to them. Shadow Sneak and Fire Punch/Blast are completely and utterly inexcusable.
What a truly disappointing end for the death shafted.

Gallade got the shit-tier moves too. He never really had the stats to challenge the best psychic or fighting attackers, but it still hurts to see him in total oblivion. Lucario is in the same boat.
Here's hoping they switch moves around before many of these pokemon are actually released, or soon after! Just try to get the good movesets on the winners (Mamoswine PS/A, Weavile IS/A and FA/FP, Electivire TS/WC, Rhyperior SD/SE, Rampardos SD/RS or even SD/OR for generalist, Luxray S/WC, Magnezone S/WC) before anything changes. Am I missing any winners?
I wish there was a good ground charge move. Idk if Bulldoze is significantly (if at all) better than EQ, could Mamoswine take the ground DPS crown from Groudon?
Bulldoze is better than EQ but it's not enough better to overtake the difference of 23 base attack stat between Groudon and Mamoswine. Mamoswine seems to be the third best ground DPS, above Rhyperior but below Groudon and Garchomp. Problem is the main use of ground is against Heatran and Mamoswine is weak to all of Heatran's STAB attacks.
Honestly I am pleased with how most of them turned out to be. The only Pokemon I can think of that got hurt badly by their move sets are Staraptor, Lucario, and Gallade. Regarding your comments on Tangrowth and Honchkrow, Tangrowth gets solar beam, so he is good, and Honchkrow gets dark pulse so he is fine also in terms of moves.
There are some powerful mons in gen 4 & at the moment, giving them all the best moves would be stupid. People are complaining they can't instantly evolve all their 100% mons with their boatloads of candy and it's just day 1. If these Pokémon know the better moves in the main games, they will get them eventually so enjoy the ones you have, be patient & good things will happen.
True. There's definitely something odd about the movesets: people complaining compulsively about unreleased pokemon which projected moves haven't even been analysed in detail (and most of them are not so bad).
IMO Niantic did a decent effort on balancing moves so all previous pokemon we invested in didn't get completely obsolete. Plus future tweaks and CD will bring improvement to our favourites.
