Did they make reward pokemon be captured on first ball?

I think you are just very lucky. I always catch with pinap+ultra ball to make it fast and efficient but they like to go out from 3 to 7 times. :)

No, I've thrown 1 ball, but also thrown 6+

Haven't gone for my zappy yet but I'm general I've been catching most with a single throw. I know that catch rates increase with level and all the rewards are capped at 15 so most high level trainers shouldn't have trouble

I do think the catch rate is considerably higher than normal, although they break out occasionally.

Last Moltres i used like 40 ballas to catch. Annoying as hell. Today Zapdos like 15 ultras...
