Openstreetmaps park question
There's this public park not to far from me. It's got a name, a nice sign, and a large soccer field. But when I go into openstreetmaps.org, it's not listed as a park. This is important because there's a gym in it.
So, in openstreetmaps.org, I did some editing, defined its borders, called it a park, put in its name and address, saved it, and uploaded it. A couple of days later, the site referenced in the S2 cells article doesn't find it as a park. I suspect I'm missing something - any advice on the details of editing openstreetmaps to accurately reflect the status of this park?
I know this isn't strictly a PoGO question, but maybe someone here knows the answer. Thanks in advance for any replies.

It's very relevant. But if Niantic only updates once or twice a year, then Elektron's edits (see above) should eventually have taken. If that's how it works, I have no problem with waiting for a while for the game to get it right, if that will happen.
That said, the website referenced in the S2 cell article, overpass-turbo.eu, should recognize the changes immediately, since it's a real time query. When I scan there, I see the newly edited 'park' from openstreetmap, with the correct boundaries, and the title, but it doesn't blue it in like a park, even though existing parks nearby do get blued in. I've checked the open street data for a nearby park, and it has the same fields defined - feature: park; tags: leisure: park, name: (parkname), but it isn't getting turned blue by overpass-turbo.eu. Very confused by these results, and hoping to hear from an openstreetmap expert on some missing fiddley bit that I need to change to make this work.
