Will Niantic buff future legendary bosses?

Niantic unexpectedly gave Mewtwo boss a 50% HP boost, which put to bed any ideas about two manning/womaning it in future. It would now be very difficult to three man it.

Is this a one off? or they gonna do the same to other legendary raids? Bearing in mind that since legendary raids appeared weather boosts and friendship bonuses have made bosses easier and easier.

I wouldn't be surprised if they do something similar to Deoxys, which might have been one mannable/womanable otherwise.

P.S. Praise the lord that the Regis are gone. Going to do a Mewtwo only for it to hatch into Regi would really suck.

I would hope so, kind of takes away the so called "legendary" status of the boss when two people can easily take it down. Those T5 raids should stand apart from T4's after all...

The entire "legendary" status has already disappeared a long time ago when they decided to over release them as raids. People these days have more Mewtwo than Grimer. Can you imagine.

Since this boost to Mewtwo now happened, it seems plausible that they will buff Deoxys' HP. Deoxys Attack is soloable, and I doubt Niantic likes that. Ex-Raid attendance is usually pretty high, and all good counters to Deoxys apart from Darkrai are available to the players, so it could happen.

I could see them doing this for future EX raids. Apart from Deoxys being paper thin in at least 2 formes it would be nice for EX raids to have a meaningful difference between regular T5 raids. The HP buff essentially turns the raid into a T6 of sorts.

It doesnt. The buff actually makes it a rightfull T5.
Before it was the extended version with giving you exactly that much more time that it is as hard as a T4.

T6 for Ex-Raids would be cool though...no more fooling around with those Murkrows

or they could buff every single raid by 50%.

I remember when I could not solo a tier 3. we all have 50% stronger teams than a year ago.

^^ This

About a year ago i soloed a T3 for the first time; a Vaporeon. Did it in the very last second, was borderline. Now i can solo any tier 3 boss that i want and for at least 6 of the last 12 months i spent very little time playing GO.

It would be nice if all bosses were buffed to give players a challenge. The one big challenge atm is finding shinys and that comes down to luck.

It could just be a matter of species. Either introduce stronger pokemon as new T3 bosses, or buff T3 bosses' HP and introduce new weaker mons. That way, experienced players have a tougher challenge while less experienced players can still manage to solo some T3 raids. Either way, I'd like to see more T3 raids. How many times have I searched my local gyms for solos only to find T4 and T1 raids :(

Makes sense to me.

T4: 7500/180s = 41.67dps
T5 (pre buff): 12500/300s = 41.67dps

You basically got a higher reward for the same work.

And if you think about it: Now the 3man Mewtwo is the same challenge than 2man before and is still pretty hard to quad.
While even a team of mediocre trainers at my city were able to 3man pre buff Mewtwo.

So overall it gives you more possibilities to have a challenge

It is fun but also can be difficult with trainers that dont have a big group in their area
I just met a small group of trainer when registeel in the T5 raid near my house, finally after 2 years. All casual, even failed to 5 maning absol. Some a new player, some returning player
So we form a group, still small with 10 member that cannot always play together, i try my best to carry em in raid, give some advice, evolve my machop, geodude, exeggutor, etc, change their moveset and trade to them according to their level. Duoing with my 2 account the TTar preferably in cloudy weather as much as i can and trade them
I am glad they all listen about setting up their counter, try to power up atleast to lv 30 if they can (some still in the early 20's)
Manage to 6 man the easier PC/TB Mewtwo with 40ish second left all dex opening except me. It is surely more harder than the regis or the birds for us
But i imagine if there is a group of small trainer in semi or rural or area that are not popular to play PoGo, and no one give them guidance and advice. Would be very frustating to them.
