Will Ho-oh be a bit of a joke raid now?

With the CR rebalance, the CE weekend people having more SD Tyranitar, having more candy to power up said SD tyranitar, and the boosted level of effectiveness, (now x2.56 times damage as opposed to the previous x1.96 time damage for double super effective moves) ho-oh will be a lot easier now.

That and Solar beam was an absolute @$$hole to go against back when the best rock attacker was Golem and legacy omastar (most likely didnt have enough high level SD tyranitar back when the rainbow bird came back when regirock was out to trio without weather boost) where as tyrnatiar possesses not only superior bulk and DPS, but also a better type combination, not being double weak to solar beam.

With all that really bringing Ho-oh's difficulty down, what level of tyranitar (and corresponding number of tyranitar) would you need to trio Ho-oh without boost compared to what the same feat required ith Sd tyranitar before the rebalance?

Ho Oh and Kyogere have a 1 in 3 chance of packing the counter move to their hard counters (Solar Beam for Ho Oh vs Water/Rock and Blizzard for Kyo vs Grass) so I wouldn't say its easy.

It's just me but I wouldn't do it, if you can accept the possibility of wiping, go for it

I'm not doing calculations but Ho-Oh may well be doable.

Aggron (tier 4) can be duoed (with extreme difficulty.) with its previous defense of 300+. Although tier 4 has less hp than tier 5, the new multiplier and ho-ohs lesser defense should more than cancel that out.

Given how high Smacktar's DPS is on the Comprehensive page, I'd say you could probably trio it no problem with four Ttar at 25+ and maybe a couple Golem. You'd need to revive a lot, but you the clock shouldn't be a problem.

Seriously what raid hasn’t been a been a bit of a joke since people started hitting best friends? Now with the stat rebalance nerf and the damage increase ... Its really starting to take away the fun of raiding... Unique 6, 12, draft leagues aren’t going to be much of a challenge anymore... I was looking forward to duoing Dialga in cloudy now I’m thinking that won’t be much of a challenge anymore ....

It still probably will be a challenge, machamp doesnt really have the best bulk when it comes to strong neutral hits (body slam snorlax anyone?) So I dont think its going to be a walk in the part duo.

The CP rebalance is almost entirely in the favor of the Raid Attacker because Raid Bosses has fixed HP values based on its challenge tier.

The changes to Type Effectiveness are almost always on our favor now as well, as we're more likely to be using Super Effective move on the boss than vice versa.

That being said, look out for the counter moves that bosses like Ho-Oh (SolarBeam) commonly carry. Tyranitar probably won't be surviving that one anymore.
