Why was Zapdos moved from "supreme" to "good" Lugia counter?

tbh it's TDO is far closer to those classified as 'good' counters, so it should never really have been one of the 'supreme' counters, whose TDOs are far higher than that of Zapdos. I can't speak to whether it was shifted from one to the other, but I think it's correctly categorised now.

I mean. Mewtwo SB is ranked as supreme and Zapdos is ranked only as good?

Despite Zapdos having better DPS in a clear majority of cases (at lvl 35 and 40)

and and survives longer in a clear majority of cases

And players probably having more Zapdos candies than mewtwo.

Checking PokeBattler.com/raids with no weather boosts, when using level 30 or higher attackers Zapdos is consistently within the top four ranked attackers against all movesets, often ahead of either Mewtwo or Tyranitar. As much as I dislike Charge Beam, Zapdos should be a top choice against Lugia.

I agree that it should have stayed at supreme based on sims. At levels 35 and 40 it has strictly better performance than Mewtwo averaged against all movesets.

It was my advice. Raikou is superior to Zapdos, it's simple as that. In the Attacker Tier List, Raikou is a whole Tier above Zapdos. In my option, this should be reflected in the counter graphs as well, given that Zapdos doesn't have any extra resistance compared to Raikou, which is the case of a Lugia fight. If fighting a (Solar Beam) Ho-OH, then Zapdos is absolutely the supreme choice.

As for Mewtwo, against a Psychic Lugia (2/3 of all), it is closer to Supreme Group (Raikou and T-tar). But I'm also inclining to take off Mewtwo from Supreme as well (and, before you say anything, I also have maxed Mewtwo).

As looking at the supreme counter section , it require both DPS and TDO to stay at the supreme counter

Checking poke info.com zapdos DPS to Lugia is the same as mewtwo both 84% , ttar is 83%
(Ganger is 100%)

Ttar and mewtwo both resist most of Lugia move and are bulker than zapdos , while zapdos only resist one of her move : sky attack and super low in TDO

And looking at the good counter section
Absol 82% in DPS
Golem and Rayquaza both are 76%
Absol has high DPS low TDO
Golem has okay DPS high TDO ( non-hydro pump )
Rayquaza again Good DPS , low TDO

So in the mutual fact , zapdos is another kind of absol with just a little bit more of DPS

It does not has the fact that how ttar and mewtwo tank Lugia Attack and does not overcome their DPS by a long range ( or even a bit ) ,

so in the end it lack the fact of overall damage and TDO to stay at the battle field which is very important to be a supreme counter and resulting being down grade to good counter

If you have one at a respectable level, use it. That Zapdos might do 2.5% total damage. I think you are better off focusing on what else you have that can similarly damage, at a much cheaper cost.
