What would you do with this Lugia?

Hey, everyone. So, initially, I wasn't planning on doing Lugia raids since I was fortunate enough to find and catch a perfect one last summer. But, curiosity got the best of me; I wanted to know how much better I would do against Lugia compared to before. I also needed rare candies for my Rayquaza, since T5 raids usually gives out more rare candies than lower-level raids. I did my first Lugia raid earlier today since Rayquaza left, and BAM, a 2043 CP shiny Lugia right off the bat with 95% IVs (15 HP/14 ATK/14 DEF)! I got really excited when I caught it, but then I remembered I already have a perfect Lugia.

I don't keep duplicate legendaries in my storage, but there's just absolutely no way I will transfer a shiny Lugia with IVs this good lol. So, I have no idea what to do with it right now. I was just curious before I do anything, what would you guys do with this shiny Lugia if you were in my shoes atm? Would you transfer it, hold onto it as a trophy, power it up, etc.? Thanks in advance!

I would transfer it. Like you said. No duplicates...

Keep it and power it up to your liking. Name the 100 Lugia "Lugios" and name the shiny one "Lugias." Duplicate problem solved! ...kinda. 😉

Also, in my personal opinion, there can always be exceptions to self-imposed rules. In this instance, I would absolutely make that exception.

I agree, especially since it's not just another Lugia with good IVs but shiny as well. I think I'll never power up multiples of any legendary and I wouldn't make an exception even with a shiny Lugia (one of the coolest shiny legendaries). However, I would definitely keep it.

I'd say Shiny's are their own separate category. You have both Lugia's available now - a Shiny one and a Normal one.

You could use CTM's to make one a Flying and one a Psychic, so they've got different uses.

I thought the same. I'm going to keep it, but I haven't decided if I'll invest in it. I'll consider the option.
