So it looks like there’s a death, destruction and despair post coming soon...

Shinx and Riolu no longer guaranteed hatches from adventure sync 10k eggs...

I feel my prediction will be chillingly accurate

Ralts has apparently been added back to the 10km pool again.

Tbh, I wouldn't mind this if the 10km pool wasn't so diluted. They're hard enough to get as it is, but then we have to hope for the best and be blessed by RNG.

I've done fine with regular 10k eggs recently. I only use the infinite and I spun 10k eggs 12/1; 12/2; 12/6; 12/7. Not vast distance of Poke walking either, at 47km and says 11 eggs hatched past week. Gonna get 3km and 2 spots open early in the morning, just in case.

It's alright. I walk a lot, so I don't usually have an issue not being able to get eggs. But I gotta say, there's nothing more discouraging than walking your butt off and hatching a Trapinch or Mareep.

Guaranteeing certain pokes in 10/5kms from AS was a great way to encourage exercise as well as incentive for players to hit that mark. But I guess Niantic thought it was too easy or something.

Niantic hates its playerbase.

I hatched multiple 10K eggs while on adventure sync and I never got a Shinx or Riolu.

Only the 10k eggs specifically acquired from the Adventure Sync reward for walking 50km in a week guaranteed either a Shinx or Riolu hatch. Until now, anyways. 10k eggs picked up from Pokestops and hatched with Adventure Sync active did not have this guarantee.

To be honest, this is a strange and somewhat mean move from Niantic. More in our series of "first give players something, then take it away".

But at least now people who would have to work extra for the 50km can stop worrying about it.

Agree, there really is no compelling reason to use this feature. I now make sure my pokemon box if full Sunday night so I DON'T get the eggs. Last time I got 2x 5km eggs which is nearly as bad as getting the dreadful 7km eggs when opening gifts. PMGO has gotten to be a real hassle of late ... remembering to avoid 7km eggs when opening gifts, remembering to avoid eggs Monday at 9AM, dealing with the tedious (but fun) trading system. Add to that the rising number of glitches and bugs (despite weekly forced updates) and the whole thing is getting dreary. Thank the Lord we have a return of Deli Bird to save our holiday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I actually only go for 7km eggs nowadays, since they moved most of the shiny babies from their original eggpools a couple weeks ago. You have a decent chance at a baby in any given 7km now, and it's your best chance at getting the elusive shiny Magby or Togepi.

I obviously missed the announcement where this was officially stated. Does someone have a link?

>implying Niantic announces changes like this on the regular
They only tweeted about the Sinnoh Stone change *after* people had a few days to discover it themselves and bitched up a storm about it. Admittedly they have made some announcements about item changes such as the raid rewards, but those are few and far between. I don't think they've ever formally tweeted about egg shake-ups outside of events, but I could be wrong.

Shinx and Riolu were never guaranteed. Not sure where you got that from. As with many others replying to this thread, have hatched many of the weekly eggs and received neither.

Nobody ever reported proof of hatching anything except gen 4 pokemon from them before this Monday. We wouldn't have thought Shinx or Riolu was guaranteed from the 10k if there wasn't overwhelming proof behind it.

Other non-egg rewards are better though. 5 RC, 3 silver pinaps and the usual balls for 50KM.

Two weeks in a row that I haven't received any rare candy or eggs despite having an open spot. RNG loves to give me poke balls and stardust only.

A guarantee would give spoofers something exclusive above someone that walks 40km. Need to frustrate us to possibly frustrate them.

By that argument, they should also nerf buddy candy, incubators and dust rewards for catching pokemon, not to speak of the exp bonus from spinning new pokestops and countless other aspects of the game. Spoofers have it better no matter what you do.

TBH I think they should just put these two in regular 10k eggs. Then if they were to guarantee 10K eggs thru Adventure Sync have them come from the whole 10k pool. People want to have something exclusive so Niantic does exclusive-squared

To my understanding they already were a part of the standard 10k egg pool in addition to being guaranteed from 10ks gotten through AS. Getting the egg itself was already a factor of RNG, they didn't need to add another RNG layer on top.

I guess I hatched a shinx in a regular 10k a while back. Recently I have 4 10k saved, gonna see if I can get 8 or 9. I don’t have a Riolu but I think it is kind of childish for people to want a 10k egg, but they gotta know what is in it (shinx or Riolu). Like kids and Santa Claus—if you get something, have some surprise about it

I am not at all a fan of the "but it benefits spoofers!" argument. It's pretty apparent they're here to stay, no reason to make the rest of the player base suffer as a result. It's a similar argument that allows intrusive, broken DRM software to be tacked onto perfectly functioning games in an attempt to deter piracy. The ultimate irony there being pirates ALWAYS find ways to crack it and distribute copies without said DRM that result in a more enjoyable experience.

I'm not someone who spoofs, I just don't see the justification in curbing my benefits because someone would rather play with a joystick than their feet.
