Is Tangela really back?

I read in several websites that Tangela raids had returned after the end of johto event. Since then, I've been tracking all T3 raids around my city. Not a single Tangela. Is it gone again?

I saw one this morning, its back

I did two yesterday and saw a third a few blocks down. It's back, and it's a surprisingly dense little shit. With an optimal team against an Infestation/Solar Beam variant I only had about 15 seconds on the clock when it went down.

I used a L37 Moltres, three low 30's BB Charizards, and a low 30's Entei (also a Scizor that was never used, battle ended shortly after Entei showed up). It's not that it was a hard fight, more that I didn't expect it to run the clock down as low as it got. I also didn't dodge anything, I don't know if sneaking a dodge or two in to get extra charge moves off would have helped the clock.

EDIT: No weather boost on either side, I should mention.

It isn't really that hard, it's just that not many people have invested in their fire counters (surprisingly despite regice and registeel). However, I've seen times as high as 57-58s (with weather boost) and mid-high 30's without weather boost.

I don't know if I'd say that's too surprising as Machamp handles the three of them and is something people already had armies of. That said, I like to play the weather and it being summer means lots of clear weather here so I made the investment.

Not hard if you’ve got the right team. All level 30: 1 Moltres, 1 Entei, 3 BB/Charizards and 1 Flareon. Will take down any Tangela, in any weather but not with a huge margin.

It's got high defense so there aren't many viable counters. Good fire mons at level 30+ destroy it. As long as you can assemble the DPS, the only danger is fainting against Sludge Bomb.

It’s not too bad I do it with Rayquaza level 30 dodge a little but not too much then without dodging I use moltres level 27 followed by 3 flareons and entei if needed

This was weather boosted but same team does it with less time left

I did a Tangela raid yesterday. Barely won, caught an all right one.

You probably are just having bad luck for it.

Haven't tried one yet but good to know it's back. I already hatched a perfect Tangela a year ago so it's not urgent to catch a good one. But I really want to give a try as it's a brand new tier 3 raid boss and a challenging solo.
